Some info on the dishwashers: they have a recharge time like the Singing Salmons and Rainbow Unicorn. When you buy a new one it comes "fully charged" but if you place one from inventory you have to wait for it to charge before being able to use it.

Strangely you can't select "charging" dishwashers to place them into inventory or to sell them. And you can't remodel a room around them. They are considered "in use".

The "Load Dirty Plates" action will instantly clear all used plates that don't have any food on them.
The "Load All Plates" action will instantly clear all plates - both dirty and ones that still have food on them.

The actual action can't be canceled and after either one the dishwasher needs to recharge for 1 hour.

So we'll need multiple dishwashers if we have 10 sims working or in an hour they won't be able to move for plates. Do you think they'll be limited objects or/and expensive sp maybe?

They aren't limited objects - you can place as many as you want to (or can afford!) on a lot at the same time. You can see the cost of the dishwashers here.

I don't think you will need multiple dishwashers if you have 10 sims working on one lot grinding for LP. If your sims cook more plates than there is room for the plates just pile up on top of each other so you don't really run out of room and your sims will just walk over the plates. The biggest worry about plates stacking up like that is the eventual lag it will cause on that lot. Depending on the type/age of device you have that could takes days to get to that point. And then just one 24 second action "Load All Plates" with the dishwasher will take care of that.

For 10 sims cooking on one lot I would just buy one dishwasher and then have my sims cook without worrying about where the plates go or how many there are and then at the end of the day or grind session have a sim load the dishwasher. 1 dishwasher per cooking lot and you'll be fine.

I’m glad at least the dishwashers can be bought with simoleans. Too many things that we grind so hard to unlock and often use SP in the process then cost more SP to buy!

For the task "Find parts in house objects" you can have 8 sims doing it at the same time.

Are there only two certain kinds of dishwashers available?
In the promotional pictures I keep seeing dishwashers that match the new luxury living and snow chalet counters but after completing the quest I don’t see those. Of course I did not, unfortunately, unlock all of the counters from the luxury living event but I would think one that matches at least the snow chalet counters would be available.
Do you think perhaps those ones will appear in the online stor or will maybe be released a later time?
Also slightly unrelated but I think it would be cool if they designed counters that matched other sets to go on top of the free standing stainless steel dishwasher.

Starting the quest I got the same impression:
hans on quest item preview.png
Left one looks like it might fit the navy white luxury line one, the other one good old plain silver.

The ingame desaster as seen here looks very bland in comparism. At first I was hoping it was just missing textures. The item description also says "Brown Black Dishwasher". Maybe they created multiple dishwashers and have a broken link in the database, handing out a different item as advertised as quest reward?

Regarding the second dishwasher... If we were able to push it into any available kitchen counter, the size makes sense. Like in the good old days of other SIms games in the franchise. If it's supposed to be a standalone item, they need to adjust the meassurements, as it clearly doesn't fit.

Reality: I don't think they fit well with most kitchen benchtops/counters.

I would have taken more screenshots, but when placing my one of each (my purchase limit for now), once they were coming from inventory, they were frozen where placed, and couldn't be moved or put back in inventory. I think Mockingbird said it lasts 1 hour, the device reset time for a new load of dishes. This was despite no dishes (dirty or clean) being in my house, much less not using it. So be sure you place it where you want it!
