The SP cost for skipping an episode seem to differ. It cost me 27 SP to skip the entire day's worth of tasks.

They definitely differ because mine says I’d have to pay 41 SP to skip the entire day.

It went down as I completed tasks. Had you guys already completed any tasks, by any chance?

I don't think I had skipped any. Maybe it was because I had a sim in the middle of completing a task? I'll check today whenever the new tasks become available.

So FM wants $10 for the “boost” on top of the RL money they expect us to shell out for game currency and LP/SP so that we can finish a hard-to-win “game show” that they created for the express purpose of seducing RL money out of our wallets? Well bless their tiny little stone-cold hearts!

All the game changers videos had the price going up each day - so whether yours was 27 to start with or not expect it to be more for episode 2. They're starting us off low so we let our guard down and think it's not so bad.

Where is the nightclub? The first task is “check in at the nightclub” and I didn’t even know there was one.

Not sure if it's because I just downloaded and started, but my cost for completing the bookshelf is 25 sp and 66 sp for the episode.

I'm not even bothering with this 'SimChase'. Not wasting my time on something that's probably impossible to complete without irl money. Besides I haven't got the SPs or Simoleons to spend...

It's the cost for the mastery tasks that puts it over the edge. It might have been doable for most players without that. I bet these types of paywalls for tasks will show up in more and more quests. It's ridiculous!
