This is a live event that lasts for 9 days.
Stations
We still have to progress through the personal prizes to unlock the different craft stations to use. So while you may have them in your inventory they are unusable until you unlock them again.
Prizes
As of the 2017 Holiday Update there is a preview feature for the prize packs like there is for the house templates. Click on the magnifying glass and you will be shown what exactly is in each pack.
Prize Packs:
Requirements
Candles - 26,100
Pottery - 76,615
Jewelry - 62,850
Glassware - 33,500
CC's - 715
Restocking
7 actions are stocked when you purchase a station from the home store.
After those 7 are used it takes 2.5 hours to restock it for 9 uses or 10 SPs to restock for 18 uses. If you are using SP it is better to pay the 10 to get 18 uses as speeding up the 2.5 hour takes 9 SPs
Placing a station into your inventory will take away any stocked uses left in that station. If you want to move a station to another lot it is best to do it when it has 0 stocked uses left.

Re: [LIVE EVENT] Backyard Beautification
I love that we have more plants but am a bit disappointed it seems they can only go in concrete edged planters. I prefer a softer, more curved or freeform style for my garden beds rather than all straight lines.
I also wonder how difficult it will be to integrate the new concrete edged beds in blue or black with the older wooden edged plants and trees. A wooden edged option would be good if they insist on framing every planting into boxes.
Still, it will be fun to experiment and I'm happy they're adding new types of plants rather than only furniture that is so similar to what we already have, it's sometimes hard for me to tell them apart.

Yes, I hope that they add some different styles of planter down the line. The concrete ones will go well with my modernist style builds, but not my more natural or cottage style houses.SKatF wrote: ↑13 Mar 2018, 23:37 I love that we have more plants but am a bit disappointed it seems they can only go in concrete edged planters. The final prize (house template) looks like it has some new items (besides what you earn along the way) including what I hope is a smaller second story opening. The one from the ski lodge is great but requires a VERY large room.

I guess that's a mezzanine. The ability to build such mezzanines will be unlocked in the mezzed up discovery quest. I have never used the one in the snow chalet before, but i am glad i will be able to build mezzanines of any sizes now.

Re: [LIVE EVENT] Backyard Beautification
Has anyone done the maths? Is the event even doable? I'll only be unlocking the jewellery stations in 2.5h, and that seems rather late to me, and glassware is still ages away... :/
But I can't check in every 2.5h because of work.

Re: [LIVE EVENT] Backyard Beautification
I'd say the event is doable if you can check in as often as you can (except during night time) and when you're really lucky with your cc plant spin.
I initially thought of ignoring the event but that new free house template is really beautiful. Back to setting alarm again. lol

Yes, I just saw the Make2 youtube on mezzanines. I'm wondering what will happen to the ski lodge balcony I have in inventory when I hit the mezzanine update.dee simmer wrote: ↑14 Mar 2018, 10:41I guess that's a mezzanine.
