This has happened to me a few times. It is very frustrating!!
No problem here. So far all my sims have been completing their craft station tasks dutifully.

So far I didn‘t read about this issue while the current event.

My sims tend to ignore their tasks if I leave them before they have started, so I make sure not to leave them too early.

Using the „save and exit“ button for leaving the game often causes issues like sims not working/stopped working.

There are some tips at the Firemonkey‘s Help Center Actions stopping or cancelling in The Sims FreePlay.

Hope, this helps!

Sometimes if I’m sending a bunch of sims to a task at the same time, one will be walking in front of an item, blocking it from another sim. So I try to make they have all actually started, before I leave the lot they are on.

Thankyou to all to answered my question. I do always wait for the station to be flashing blue before I leave however admittedly do not wait until Sims are AT the station, so I'll give it a go. I will also go to the fire monkeys tips.

Thanks again! Your replies were very helpful :D

For me, the worst part of trying to earn SP with social tasks(visiting neighbors) is not being able to save your game when you have a sim at a neighbors doing a long task. I feel more secure when I can save very frequently.
Urgh! Yes I hate that, I’ve just bought a Sim back who was trying to craft a weird object, which after two days still hadn’t been achieved  so haven’t cloud saved unlocked items in the event, Just have this morning, but wanted to earn the sp’s to help with the event but don’t think I’ll bother :(
What's a "weird object"? How and where do you craft it? The only way that I've been getting SP's is from the free daily SP Flower Spin that I get from my VIP 9 perks.

Most of the items unlocked in this event and snow quest are with Sps and Lps :(
In my opinion, I think that some of the objects would be worth it if the action itself wasn't a huge waste of time. My sims need to work on their life dreams, and then whenever I unlock a new area, say the beach with orbs, I need sims to work and complete the hobby. In addition, Sims are also needed to do the Weekly Tasks and quests in general. Plus, I haven't completed a single one of the work stations yet, so sims are hustling away doing that too! I think that if someone really didn't care about life dreams, orbs, and work stations, then they could make a pretty hair salon and have sims man it, however for most of us it isn't realistic. The only thing I would really like from a hair event would be the Mean Curls one because I missed it and also the Boutique Hair :(

It’s a task when you visit a neighbour, that’s how I get SP’s you have to crsft it using a woodworking bench but the quickest time is 5 hours, so it makes it really labourious (woodworking used to be like diving, the shortest time as 10 minutes) it took two days of constant woodworking to get 1 SP

Man, I remember when the shortest time for those hobbies was 4 minutes.

I don't know if it's because I'm out of the habit of doing these types of events (the last new one was 5 months ago) or because I know I'm never going to use the hair-specific items but this event hasn't been fun for me. Can't even really look forward to using the items I do like because of the cost for them. The last thing I need to unlock before finishing is the angled chairs - angled chairs! something most of us have been wanting for years. But it's hard to get excited about them when each one costs about 30sps.

I like most of the wall hangings - I don't like "Infinity" that lady looks like an alien to me. I wish the magazine racks were interactive so sims could use them for magazine goals. The coat racks are a nice, unexpected item - I hope we see more types in the future. Same for the table decorations, it's nice to see some new ones from the Snow Problem quest and this one - again, hope we see more of those in the future. And new hairstyles are always nice - but why is it always only adults?

If we have more of these events in our future I really hope preteens and seniors get new stuff and the prices for items are more reasonable.

I have to say I find those events more relaxing then the hobby event since most hobbies have stupid times for me now. With this event I just have them doing the 8.30 hours during night and workday with 2.30 or 4.30 in the evening. For the first time I got actually lucky with the lucky spin and already have enough coins for the last to items to buy. The only ressources I may not get enough is the glasware. But i agree the costs for the enw tiems are ridicoules.
