OK. I'll do that. Thank You!mockingbird288z wrote:If you have the LP to spare I would spend some to get the sim to level 6. The reason you are only getting repeats right now is that the items are still locked for the rest of the levels. Once you get a sim to level 6, all the items will be unlocked and any sim no matter their level will be able to get any item.Rosie wrote:mockingbird288z wrote:I have to ask, in the game you are currently doing the quest in, have you had a sim at level 6 in the fashion design hobby?Rosie wrote:Is anyone else doing this quest? It's been about 4 and a half hours today withat all repeats. I don't remember this ever happening in my original game?? Has this ever happened to anyone? I'm about ready to give up. The hair styles they offer to people just beginning the game are really awful now though. No light blonde, or purple etc..
From what I remember of both the ringlets of fire event and this one it was only the chichi heels that game everybody trouble. Most of the grid would fill up quickly but then we would have to do multiple rounds to get the chichi heels.
No, I haven't had a Sim do this hobby yet. One began doing the fashion hobby, but only is at level 3. Maybe it's because all my Sims doing this quest are at level one, other than the one Sim is at level 3. Do you think I should use some life points to have someone get to level 6? Or is it too late for that? That's a good point. Thanks!

How do you use LPs to fast-track a sim's leveling up progress? I'm facing exactly this issue right now and I am not getting any new items despite putting all my Sims to work at designing fashion.Rosie wrote:OK. I'll do that. You use LP to finish the fashion design action faster. Have one sim do the longest time action and then speed that up with LP. Somewhere in the very first ringlet of fire event thread there's a breakdown of how many rounds and of what time length it takes to get a sim to level 6. I'll search for it.a_strange_occurrence wrote:

Thanks for the tip! OK, I just spent something like 40 LPs to rush my Sim who was at Level 5 to arrive at Level 6. Now that my grid is entirely unlocked, Is there any advantage in getting my Sims to work longer actions as opposed to doing just the shortest task (the 10 minute Design Fashion)?mockingbird288z wrote:You use LP to finish the fashion design action faster. Nope, no advantage in using the longer time once you have level 6 unlocked. The shortest time is the best for these types of events. Good luck!a_strange_occurrence wrote:Thanks for the tip! Just wanted to make sure too... As long as one of my Sims is at level 6 then it would not matter if the rest of my sims are at lower levels, ,right? Can I still get the lower level sims to win items that have L.6 indicated?

Re: [EVENT] Boutique Hair Event
maybe i'm being impatient but i've put my 6 sims working 10 minute rounds about 3 times now and they're still getting old repeats. I'm missing the final piece, the Rare L.6 in the last row. how do I hasten this process... anyone know?

Yes, that's correct.a_strange_occurrence wrote:Just wanted to make sure too... As long as one of my Sims is at level 6 then it would not matter if the rest of my sims are at lower levels, ,right? Can I still get the lower level sims to win items that have L.6 indicated?
You just have to keep at it. Sometimes it goes quickly, other times slowly.a_strange_occurrence wrote:maybe i'm being impatient but i've put my 6 sims working 10 minute rounds about 3 times now and they're still getting old repeats. I've just finished it, so it is possible, but I spent way too much time on it than I'm prepared to admit
Using LP on the spin thing can get you something you're missing out on... But it could equally get you something you've already got, so save first.
Obviously having more sims doing it will speed things up, otherwise it's just checking as often as you can to pop their bubbles and start the 10min task over and over again.

Thanks for the useful tips. What do you mean by using the LP on the spin thing.... and saving first? do you mean save the game?

The LP thing:
In the grid, there is a yellow circle to the left of each row. Clicking on it will use a certain number of LP and randomly give you one out of the three possible collectables for that row. As I said, it may or may not be one you already have. Each row down costs more LP, up to 12 for the last row.
Yes, save your game to the cloud before you try it. If it works badly, you can reset and restore if necessary.
