Dream Homes Update - Changes

-3 new quests : we get patios after doing the DIY Homes: Peaceful Patio quest, balconies with the DIY Homes: Lovey-Dovey Balcony quest, and basements with the DIY Homes: Basement of Kings quest.
- new and exciting Limited Time Prizes in the DIY Homes series of quests - Make Out Couch, luscious planters, and a superb new mansion
-all new items in the home store
- add hallways, create smaller rooms, and much more!
-can have up to 5 floors

Changes
-unconnected buildings on the same lot can be different heights
-can build smaller rooms - 1x2 is the smallest
-doors and windows can be placed next to each other and walls
-three new lots to build on the island
-new house - Hallway House
-new preview button for pre-made houses
-billboard on the main land
-price of pool pavings have decreased
-more XP for actions for babies
-figure skating only has one time option now (12 hours)
- video offers are now for LP, SP, and TV
-Beachside Escape and Haunted House now costs simoleons
-Social Point Plant (pay 5LP to win SP)
-can now see where furniture is on the floor above when placing stairs
-3rd floor costs §500,000 (instead of 100LP)
-Life Point Lotus is now yellow (instead of pink), simoleon sprout is green (instead of purple)
-some LP items now cost § (baby mobile, toddler trike, singing salmon, island sentinel replica, volleyball net)
-Seniors walk faster
-rugs have their own section now
-"Sunny Weather" now called "Blue Skies" on weather machine
-lime green wardrobe is free
-Latin Villa can only be built on a premium lot now, has glitch where sims won't move in it
-Rainbow Unicorn inspiration increased to 9 seconds (was 3 seconds)
-can no longer "Admire" the Grandfather Clock

You get a pop up that says unconnected buildings on the same lot can now have different heights. !!

The new quests are discovery quests and you can do them after level 15.

There are three new lots on the island to build!

A new house (not including the one you can unlock through the quest, I think) called Hallway House.

And a new preview button that shows you what houses will look like once they are built!!!

The teleporter, putting green, and the basketball court are all listed as "New" in the Featured tab (along with a Modern Bar).

So are the telporter, putting green, and basketball court available to everyone?!?!

The prices of the putting green and the basketball court have gone to §5,000 instead of free so if you have it for free it's best to stock up before updating. The teleporter price is the same.

I don't have the putting green or basketball court so they must be available only if you've already unlocked them. Would love another teleporter or two, but not for 60 LP.

A billboard on the main island? It doesn't do anything right now but I wonder if there will be ads there eventually. Wish I could read simlish.

Hmm. Wonder why they would call them "new" then. Sorry if my post got anyone excited.

Not a silly question! There are three new quests to do (ugh) in what they called the "DIY Home series of quests". I'm not sure of the order yet but the DIY Homes: Basement of Kings quest unlocks basements.

Pool paving prices have decreased drastically! Maybe because they will also be used for patios? The cheapest is now §10 a square (compared to §1500) and the most expensive is now §450 a square (compared to §20,000). The Sandstone paving no longer costs 1LP per square, it's new price is §500.

Pool interiors are the same price.

XP for babies' actions: Go to Sleep and Hibernate has increased to 300++, previously was 200++
