Cans and Cannots of Teens *spoilers*

Thanks to ZeeGee's useful list, I managed to grow 2 teens this morning. Have checked out the interactions with various objects - don't read if you prefer to discover them yourself!

Adult stuff: cannot bake or grow plants

Preteen stuff: cannot use study desk - they have their own teen desk in the home store
Can use mpfree player, can write in diary

Hobbies: AFAIK for now, they can only dive and ice skate. They CANNOT do ballet or karate. You might like to factor this in before you grow your teens. I picked 2 new preteens to grow into teens. Also note that even if you have made progress in diving/ ice skating the progress is wiped out when they become teens.

New interactions: with bed - escape chores 30 mins! Haven't checked to see if preteens have this too.

They can be invited to move in...unfortunately the name change thing still happens.

Lisa moved in with her Aunt, got her last name. Lisa's BF Max moved in as well and now has the same last name too. *sigh*

Preteens only have the usual options for using the bed, they are not allowed to use the teen study desk.

Regarding the name thing:
The last days it did not work as expected. I have one sim, who did not change the name, neither with moving in, nor with marriage. Another sims name did change.
I didn't try this after updating the game, but will try it today.

earlier i mentioned that the last name changed didn't happen for me when i move my Sim back to his partner... 2 days back, when i check Sim tracker, his last name has changed...

Teenagers can also 'learn to drive' for 6 hours! I don't know who learns to drive for 6 hours at a time. It also requires an adult sim.

1. Refrigerator - 2 hours - 327 xp - Stare blankly
2. Microwave - 15 mins - 82 xp - 4 day old takeaway
3. Espresso machine - 1 min 30 sec - 22 xp - Skinny Latte
4. Shower - 35 mins - 135 xp - Sing heart out
5. Deck Chair - 18 hours - 1380 xp - Waste a whole day

Note: time and xp depend upon quality of items

Hahaha!!! I've yet to have that experience yet. My kids are still young. It doesn't sound like fun though.
