Unfortunately there isn't a way to skip the tutorial.

Thank you. I am using Bluestacks on a laptop. I tried holding Control key, both keys, Alt + Ctrl, and using the mouse wheel to rotate with no success. I am not sure if I need to change the mouse wheel settings or if those types of workarounds just do not work. Advice on mouse wheel settings or alternate workarounds appreciated.

Many thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide me with...

I have been playing for a couple months now. Have 2 Sims and about a dozen houses (empty - no Sims there). I can't add a new sim though - one of the active tasks is the Tutorial to Add a Sim to Town. I can't do anything else other that social tasks until I add a Sim. The house options for my vacant homes won't let me add a Sim (icon is grey). My two original Sims are now best friends.

I'm currently at level 13 and my towns Sim count is 2/13

What do I have to do to be able to add a Sim?

Hmm. It's strange that you can't add any new sims to the homes you already have built... you are still on the Tutorial? So your last goal was to check your mailbox? You can try moving the one best friend in with the other friend and then try to add a sim from the newly vacant house, honestly, I'm not sure it would work, though. The newly vacant house will probably get a gray icon, too. :( You are probably going to have to submit a support ticket to Firemonkeys.

It sounds like you have played and updated to newer versions while in the tutorial. The tutorial has been changed a few times and caused all sorts of problems. You can submit a ticket and wait for them to get back to you, which might take a while.

This is what I would try:
- Save your game to the cloud. See: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=15
- Delete the second sim (use the wardrobe), so keep the one you started with. (I know, you do lose the best friend). There should be a little red delete icon in the top left of the screen, when you're in the edit Sim screen.
- Go to the town map and tap the house icon on the house left of the one you started with. It is important to use that house, because with the current tutorial the game expects you to move a sim in there. Adding a Sim should work now and the goal should complete. After that the tutorial should continue.

If that doesn't work, you need to restore your cloud save. See second post of: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=15
It sounds and looks scarier than it is.
If you didn't submit a ticket yet, I'd do so the above attempt to fix it failed.

Thank you so much for the info Perturbee! I tried what you suggested: saving to the cloud and then tried to delete the 2nd sim. I'm unable to delete the second sim at all - no red delete icon when I go to the wardrobe.

Submitting a ticket - where do I do that and would I be looking at days or weeks for a response?

I guess the other option is to blow everything away and start over? Not my favourite option as I already invested some cash and alot of time LOL in hopes I just needed to increase value of the town (of course that didn't work LOL).

I'm sorry to hear it didn't work.

You can submit a ticket here: https://help.firemonkeys.com.au/hc/en-us/requests/new
Responses depend on how busy they are. It can vary from a week to weeks.

To delete a sim, tap your sim and then the button on the right hand side of your sims picture.

Edit to add
I'm not sure, when the delete-a-sim button has moved to that place. But it's pretty new there.
Deleted the link as it has been posted already :)

Many thanks - will give that a try... Sure hope I can get this resolved and continue on!

OK I can see it and tapped the delete - message comes up that says "Owen Jones is required for the tutorial. Complete more tasks before removing this sim" Arghhhh LOL
