Male sim with female body

One of my sims is married to a male NPC sim and today his outfit has changed to that of a female sim.

I didn’t have space to add him to my household so he just hangs around the lot and I can’t change his appearance myself.
Has this happened to anyone else? Will it just fix itself?

Sim in my family has this problem. In create a sim they are tagged as a woman and I can only choose between other female clothes. They are like that for a few weeks at least. I think I would have to change back to male and then change his looks so he would look like himself again because flipping genders changes everything. I wish it wouldn't because I really can't be bothered to fix that sim and I always make female lips and male noses that look awful once the children of different gender inherit them

I'm sorry I have no help or advice to offer, but he looks fantastic.
