How do I take a romantic ride in a canoe

How do I have a romantic ride in a canoe. I've sent a couple to the campground but I only have the option to wait for canoe buddy (but can't seem to make them do anything together), or take a short paddle - but that's by themself...

With the first sim tap "Wait for canoe buddy.", when that sim sat down tap the canoe again for the romantic action (or join in).
