Hmm, I understand that the problem was about the iOS software version somewhere around early October and not about the newest game update (I misunderstood that yesterday). I guess it has something to do with either iOS version 9.0.1 (released on September 23) or version 9.0.2 (released on September 30). It seems that updating to iOS version 9.1 solves the problem. So far the iOS versions 8.# don't give any problems (guess I am lucky).

Weird, but out of curiosity I just looked at my updates for iOS & it's got iOS 9.1 on there ready to install, but for some reason I didn't get a notification for it like I have for other updates. Oh well, I'll update it in a 'lil bit & hopefully it'll be fixed.
