Drove me nuts at first, too, Press and hold the item you want to move or sell. This should happen.

The open box is storage, the roundabout circle is to rotate. Across the bottom right is an X to exit and an up arrow to see the store fill half your screen.
This should get you started.

You can also access the store from the house button mid height in right side.
