Increase in Sim Ticket Cost for Babies

Post by mockingbird288z »

Didn't it use to only cost 10 green sim tickets to have a baby?

This morning I saw that it cost 28. :o

I used to be able to do many family events a day, now it's down to three max. And now the cost for babies has increased. Is this all an attempt to prevent people from farming babies for heirloom tickets?

You have to keep moving them out as they grow up to make room for more kids.

And now it costs 2 super sim tickets? Does it just change everyday? Is it dependent on the sim you are using?

Had to have. I'm just surprised they changed it again so soon. I think I prefer the 2 super sim tickets over 28 sim tickets but I'm getting whiplash!

This morning I had a look at the price with three different sims - with and without good upbringing traits. The price has been the same - 2 blue sim tickets.

I wondered if it's the number of sims that causes the change of the price. Maybe we can compare our numbers? I counted the sims I had and the children I had added. I have used the filter "family" at the contacts tab and some notes about added sims. Hope, I didn't miss a sim :?

Yesterday there was a total of 25 not playable sims.
Plus 9 sims which were/are playable.
Total 34 sims.

I didn't count the 2 babies I added yesterday and today. Yesterdays baby was the 35th sim.

I don't keep track of the kids who just pass through. So I only have a count for my current generation (by writing down the names that show up as son/daughter in my sim's contacts). For the current generation that is 23.

Adding the playable sims I've had so far the total is 30 sims. But I know my previous generation of sims had a lot of children themselves. There was quite a revolving door going on when we were allowed more family events per day.

Is there an advantage to having tons of kids? I susally have each couple have 2 children. This generation being the exception as they had 4. Have been slacking on my relationships and using the playables to complete four more. Once done, will retire them and make the youngest two playable. Have I been missing some opportunities?
