Ah right that's good! Thank you both for replying. I guess this has shown up on my game by now as its past midnight here in the UK but I'm too tired to bother with it tonight, will sort it in the morning.

 I submitted my house just to see and it was done! Oh well...someone will have a bog standard to chose! I guess FM will get an eclectic selection from the submitted entries...

I finished the quest but i did not want to submit my house design (actually it's an office design). And the house on which i was last in still has an unfinished 3rd floor. But I did not see anything that I could click to finish the quest & NOT submitting anything. When I tested to click the sign, the quest automatically finished.

Just a note to others who deferred starting their quest.

When I first saw the notification, I clicked No as I have other things to do. So if you want to start your quest, make sure you have a Sim with a Real Estate Job. Send it to work. Then go to the Park, you'll find Someone (forgot what's the name), then Click the Round Logo nearby to start the quest.

For me the goal went like this:
  • Submit Home Via Sign
I tapped on the sign and selected "Submit this home"
Task Complete "Submit Home Via Sign"
    Congratulations! Your romantic beds...
    Congratulations! Your fabulous Hot Tub...
And then I got what rajcaz posted here. The pop up where you actually submit your house. I tapped on "No" and didn't submit my house.
You don't actually submit your house during the quest. You go through the motions but it isn't until after the quest where you are given the opportunity to submit or not.

I clicked yes when it popped up but I didn't have anyone currently at work. I'm not sure they need to be for the quest to pop up. Part of the quest is to send someone to work.

I think you need a Sim with the Real Estate job to get the quest. And that sim has to be send out to work.

You are right...a real estate working sim is required for this quest.

Just a thought y'all - be very, very careful about the contents of the house you submit. Just to be on the safe side. ;)

Kinda bummed the swing doesn't swing :( Am confused about hot tub. Looks like three sims can get in it but only able to put two in. Took me forever to figure out marriage thing on beach so maybe need to fiddle around more with it :?:
