Are you currently doing any other types of quest e.g. the bird feeding quest?
Maybe they have changed the rules (which is possible as they always change everything and by this time, we couldn't see the quests in the queue...), but it happened to me that I've had four quests at the same time last october.

What level are you at?

What exactly does the waiting in queue box say?
Perhaps you can take a screenshot for us after you click on the quest box?

From the quest box, it looks like your money grows on trees quest has already started with the task of "ponder in a living room chair". You need to use a single living room chair for the task and it should clear on completion.

Yw and no worries. The game can be pretty confusing at times, even to long time players. Feel free to ask if you are unsure about anything :)

It did say I have the winter clothing pack but I think I have to build the fashion store to let my sims wear them as oppose to changing via chest/wardrobe?
Sadly the terms are a little confusing.
When the game says you've unlocked something, it means it has been added to the home-store and you can buy it.
If it says you've got something free, only then you get one free item and need to pay for any next one you want.

As for the winter clothes, you are right, you do need the fashion store for that (but the winter clothes are free).
Thanks for replying, the weather machine is expensive so not a priority at the moment

Yes, Palmjill is right, your quest has already started !
You might hâve Been confused bécause there isn't the yellow button on thé right side of the box. This button allows you to skip thé goals but in the quests, you must achieve all goals without skipping any. You Will Never see any yellow button for the quests goals.

Yeah I think you're right! That makes sense, I thought ponder on a living room chair was the name of one of the quests :P
