What ruins your day?

Well, I am currently in a pinch due to a series of events that I am not directly related.

So, for our sanity, I made this forum for all off us to blow off some steam from a rough day.


What ruined my day today? Office Politics.

Yesterday, my dogs decided to fight each other. One was left with a bloody ear tip that left an awful mess all over his white coat, the bathroom, and the carpet.
Luckily, it was a small tear and didn't require stitches.

That's terrible! >.< well our dogs fight too but mostly its about the alpha-male thing.

Drunk people at work. Fast food shifts until 6:30am catering to drunk people is not an idea that I would consider. Thankfully I don't get those shifts too often.

Catching a nasty cold that lasts for over three weeks (and counting).

What ruins my day? Really cold weather! I hate worrying about pipes bursting. Luckily we live in GA and normally we don't get that cold, but this year with the polar vortex we did have several nights of worry. We have a well for our water and the well is in a well house. Husband found a gadget that would turn on a space heater in there when the temperature dropped to 32 degrees and shut it off at 40 degrees. For the house, we flushed the toilets a LOT and ran a load of laundry at midnight.

Coming back to work after a lovely 3 days with my son and daughter in law to find we have a dead server and that our backup system has failed to backup since 2011 and nobody caught it. Our IT guy ended up in the emergency room - stress related anxiety - we have no idea how nobody at the head office realized our backups weren't working but we have a very small IT department that has to manage 7 or 8 locations. I want all of my Sims to cross their fingers that our data can be recovered and in the meantime, I might have to hibernate them for a few days while we figure out how to get through this problem. All of our accounting data is on there
