I don't know how to say it in English but in French it is the "gyroscope" of the pad that needs a reset. Hope it is understandable... Some people reported this and they simply fixed it by calibrating the "gyroscope"

I don't really need XP as I reached the level 55 so my teen and preteen (I only have one of each) keep earning simoleons and LP for me. It depends on which level you are but if you already can age your sims, a simply way to get simoleons (and you also get XP) is to create an adult, give him the sporty personnality, make him dive a dozen of time to acheve 86% of the orb.
